Draft: being updated for Brick & Mortar

Privacy Policy — Brick and Mortar RP

Last updated: 29 September 2026 (Twitch companion added)

This policy explains what the Brick and Mortar RP FiveM server, our Discord community and its Diamond Discord bot, and the Brick and Mortar extension on Twitch streams (a box on the stream video) collect about you, why, and what you can do about it. The server runs on our own Diamond Framework.

We are a small hobbyist game community, not a company. We collect what we need to run the server and moderate it fairly, and nothing more.

What we collect

From Discord

  • Your Discord user ID and username
  • Which roles you hold in our Discord server
  • Messages you send in channels the bot relays to the game (these channels are clearly identified)
  • Commands you run through the bot, and what you asked it to do

From the game server

  • Your FiveM licence identifier — a per-account ID that FiveM gives us; it is how we recognise you
  • Your in-game character names and roleplay progress (money, vehicles, property, jobs)
  • When you connect and disconnect, and how long you play
  • In-game chat messages
  • Moderation history: warnings, kicks, bans, the reason, and which staff member acted

If you link your accounts

  • The pairing of your Discord ID to your FiveM licence, when it was linked, and by whom

If you are an approved streamer (our streamer role) and stream Brick and Mortar on Twitch with the BNMRP tag (added 29 September 2026)

  • Your Discord "Streaming" status, which shows your Twitch channel name while you are live. It is only used if you hold our streamer role; if you don't, or your stream is not tagged BNMRP (or @bnmrp in the title), it is ignored and nothing is stored
  • The pairing of your Twitch channel (its name and numeric ID) to your FiveM licence, made automatically when you are live and in the city, and your choices of what to show
  • While you are live and linked: your character's name, job, gang (only if you turn it on) and the name of the area of the city you are in (never exact coordinates). This is shown publicly on the Brick and Mortar extension on your stream and in our #🔴・live channel

If you use the Brick and Mortar extension on Twitch

  • An anonymous per-viewer ID that Twitch gives the extension (not your Twitch username), the Diamond points it has earned, and when it last earned one. Diamond points have no money value
  • The extension also shows recent in-city Bleeter posts and city news. Anything posted publicly on Bleeter in game can therefore be seen by Twitch viewers

What we do not collect: we do not ask for your real name, address, or date of birth. We do not collect payment card details — any donation platform we use handles those, and we never see them. We do not read your Discord direct messages.

Why we collect it

  • To run the game. Your character and progress have to be stored somewhere to exist between sessions.
  • To moderate fairly. Connection and chat logs let us investigate reports and resolve disputes with evidence rather than guesswork.
  • To enforce bans. A ban has to be tied to an identifier, or it means nothing.
  • To link Discord roles to in-game access. For example, granting whitelist access to people who hold the right role.
  • To keep the community informed. Player counts and server status are shown publicly in Discord.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not profile you, and we do not sell it. Ever.

Who can see it

  • Our staff, who need it to moderate. Access to the admin tools is limited to trusted staff.
  • Other players, but only what is naturally public: your character name, and anything you type in a public channel or in-game chat.
  • Nobody else. We do not share data with third parties, except where we are legally required to.

Our infrastructure providers necessarily process data in order to carry it: Discord, Twitch (which hosts the extension and delivers its live updates), Cloudflare (which carries the extension's connection to our server), and our server host. Their own privacy policies apply to that.

How long we keep it

  • Character and account data: while your account exists, and for a period afterwards in case you return.
  • Chat and connection logs: roughly 30 days, unless attached to an open moderation case.
  • Moderation records: indefinitely. A ban that expires from the record stops working.
  • Account link: until you unlink it, or your account is removed.
  • Twitch link: until staff remove it at your request. Stop using the BNMRP tag (or give up the streamer role) so it is not re-made. Your character's live details are held only in memory while you are live, not stored.

These are our current practices rather than guarantees, and backups may persist a little longer.

Your choices

  • Unlink your accounts at any time — ask staff, and we will remove the pairing.
  • Hide lines on the Twitch extension with /twitch hide job, /twitch hide area or /twitch hide gang in game. Stop using the BNMRP tag and ask staff to remove your Twitch link to stop it entirely.
  • Ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
  • Ask us to delete your data. We will remove your character data and personal information. We will keep moderation records where deletion would let someone evade a ban — that is a legitimate interest in keeping the community safe, and it is the one exception.
  • Leave. Leaving the Discord server or not connecting stops any further collection.

To make a request, open a ticket in our Discord or email [email protected]. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can — we are volunteers, not a support desk.

Security

Our database is not publicly reachable and access is limited to staff who need it. That said, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee against every breach. Please do not share anything sensitive through our service — it is a game server, and it should not be trusted with anything that matters.

Children

Our service is not intended for anyone below Discord's minimum age for their country. If we learn that we hold data for someone under that age, we will remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be announced in our Discord.
